Scott’s love of the outdoors brought him to Whistler in the spring of 1989.
Working as a professional chef in one of Whistler’s busiest restaurants enabled his outdoor lifestyle. Scott’s love of water had him skiing in the winter and to fishing and paddling in the spring runoff. Scott spent his younger years fishing in the lakes of the interior of BC. But it was his introduction to fly fishing in 2008 that his passion for fishing became an obsession; learning everything about fly fishing, from nymphing his 3 weight for mini fish to casting one of his spey or switch rods for big trout and wild salmon. Things really clicked when he started to meet fellow fly tie enthusiasts and eventually finding his way to Friday Night Flies with Scott Leboldus and Brad Knowles.
