Friday Night Flies – Show Stopper Steelhead Fly

The boys from Spud Valley put their heads together this morning to cover a few bases when it comes to Steelhead. This is a great Steelhead Pattern for BC Rivers and Streams. At this time of year Steelhead are entering the Rivers and opportunities arise. Gear fisherman have success using pink worms and Imitation eggs so we tried to cover both with this simple pattern. We combined Rabbit strip, Hackle, Schlappen, rubber legs, Crystal flash and tie it together with Marabou to finish. You can swing this pattern or simply dead drift it, let us know what works best. Thread: 3/0 Pink Uni-Thread
Tail: Pink Rabbit Zonker Strip, Pink Crystal Flash
Body: Neck Hackle large Radiant Orange, Hot Pink Schlappen, 2x each side Sili Legs Fire Tip Purple/Hot Pink.
Collar: Hot Pink Marabou, Tip Dyed Marabou Flame Red/Purple
Head: XL Metallic Purple Bead.
