Friday Night Flies – Co Chironomid
If you stillwater fish any amount of time during the year you know that chironomids are a must have pattern in your stillwater arsenal. I was out fishing a week ago and I took a throat sample from a fish that I caught and I noticed that the chironomid that it had eaten had very distinct silver bands on its body. These bands form while they fill up with gasses to help them ascend to the surface to hatch. The olive coloration was also noticeable but not as significant as the silver ribbing. Play around with the Friday Night Flies – Co Chironomid in different colours as chironomids come in a wide range of colours and it is always good to have a large variety at your disposal.
