The Damsel nymph is a staple food for Trout year round. What inspired me to tie this fly was, while I was Ice fishing the other day. One of these lovely damsel nymphs was stuck to a weed that I had pulled up from the bottom. As soon as I threw it back into the water it was eaten by a Trout right in front of my eyes.
