Friday Night Flies – COPPER JOHN VARIANT
Friday Night Flies – COPPER JOHN VARIANT
THE COPPER JOHN went through several design changes over a period of about three years beginning in 1993. John Barr’s Copper John could very well be the most popular bead head nymph on the market today. Having an assortment of BHCJs in each color and size is a must. Drop them below a larger Stonefly nymph to understand why you should never be on the stream without this bead head nymph. This fly imitates a large variety of larva. It is used in fast and slow waters.
