Friday Night Flies – Steelhead Candy Pop
Friday Night Flies – Steelhead Candy Pop
This pattern came to me after watching a few different composite loop tutorials from the guys at OPST. It’s a real easy pattern to die and is deadly for Steelhead and Salmon when you mix up the colors based on the species you are targeting. If you leave enough room with the intruder wire and stinger hook you will be able to switch out hooks based on the species you are targeting and even replace hooks if they break or bend. This is an awesome technique to makes extremely durable flies that will last a long time when you are targeting the aggressive Salmon species.
