This pattern is very similar to the FNF Mayfly Nymph. When you find a pattern that works great you try to refine it using different materials to cover more bases. The mayfly Nymph when tied more bulky was working better, once it was tied bulkier it looked more like a micro leech. That being said lets make a micro leech similar to the mayfly nymph using more traditional colors with a hint of “new school”. Enjoy the show.

Hook: size 6 curved caddis
Tail: Pheasant Tail
Body: Brown Rams Wool blended with Superfly Diamond Dub Rusty Brown 2:1
Collar: Mallard Flank wood duck, diamond dub olive bronze
Bead: Red 5/32.
