Friday Night Flies – Cox Rock Crawler
Friday Night Flies – Cox Rock Crawler
Rock crawlers are small insects found in high elevation especially in the north west. When fishing these I prefer using them in faster rockier water with lots of structure because any fish that is sheltering under the rocks can’t resist seeing an easy meal floating. I found that the most effective time to use them is in spring time when everything is waking up and the water is still minty cold. You can either euro nymph or use a strike indicator when fishing them and I can guarantee you that it is a very effective pattern.
