Friday Night Flies – Hare’s Ear Wet Fly
Friday Night Flies – Hare’s Ear Wet Fly
The Hare’s Ear nymph needs no introduction. It is a staple in many fly fishers’ boxes and has been responsible for the landing of many a fish. It is a simple fly pattern but it is very effective. After seeing Dana filling up his boxes with his favorite nymphs I decided to put my own spin on this pattern. Having been tying a bunch of classic styled flies as of late I wanted to keep that theme going in this one. I added a wet style wing on this one and it should be super effective as a minnow style fly.
