Friday Night Flies – Spotted Sussex Nymph
Friday Night Flies – Spotted Sussex Nymph
Kevin Damaskie, a local chicken farmer had one of his beautiful Spotted Sussex chickens die of natural causes and thought of me. He dropped it off in a bag and I pulled every useful feather from its cold body and came up with this Sexy fly. Similar to Scott’s fly this week, it covers a few patterns while fly fished in Still water or Rivers. It imitates stoneflies, damsel nymphs, Dragonfly nymphs, emerger patterns and or minnow patterns. Enjoy this simple pattern to tie at the vise.
